Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 31, 2026. TeachVerse (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what information we collect when you use our website and services, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Who we are
TeachVerse is a blog and learning community where users can read, write, and engage with content. This policy applies to visitors and registered users of our site.
2. Information we collect
Account information. If you create an account, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form). You may also add a profile picture and bio.
Google sign-in. If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares with us the profile data you authorize (for example your Google account identifier, email, name, and profile photo) so we can create or link your account. We do not receive your Google password.
Content you submit. We store posts, comments, and other content you publish, along with metadata such as timestamps.
Technical data. Like most sites, our servers and infrastructure may process standard information such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps for security and reliability. Exact details depend on how and where the service is hosted.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, maintain, and improve TeachVerse (including publishing and displaying content).
- To authenticate you and keep your session secure.
- To communicate with you about the service when needed (for example account or security notices).
- To protect against abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
- To comply with legal obligations when required.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar mechanisms for essential functions, including keeping you signed in after you log in (for example a secure session token). We may use additional cookies or local storage as needed for preferences or analytics; if we add non-essential tracking, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
5. Third-party services
We rely on service providers to operate TeachVerse. For example, we may use cloud hosting, a database provider, image hosting for uploads (such as Cloudinary), and Google for OAuth sign-in. Those providers process data only as needed to perform services on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards. Their use of data is also governed by their own privacy policies.
6. Data retention and security
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update some information in your profile settings. To exercise other rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Children’s privacy
TeachVerse is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including where our servers or providers operate. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards where required by law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of TeachVerse after changes means you accept the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
11. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, please contact us at the support or email address we publish for TeachVerse. If we add a dedicated contact, we will list it here.
